I have always loved creating art. Since I was little, I would doodle on everything- even the things that shouldn't be drawn on. Now, as a college student, I have put that creative energy to good use in high school and am now minoring in Art. After many people offering to by my art, I have finally created a place to sell prints. Since one piece can't go to many different people, this is a great way for me to share my art with as many people as possible. Though only about 1 quarter of the profit actually goes to me, it is at least a little something!
Creating art is not only a hobby or a minor, but it means so much more to me than that. It is an escape for me- it sets me free from the worries of my daily routine, it's almost as if I stop thinking, but at the same time, I dive into an even deeper form of processing. Sometimes I get so caught up in the moment that hours will pass by. Any abrupt interruptions catch me off-guard, and it takes me a while to get my head on straight.

Art is also an act of worship for me. Since my mind just slows down, I am able to just sit in the presence of my Lord uninhibited by the stresses of school, work, people, and just commune with the Holy Spirit. I consider art to be one of my greatest gifts from the Lord and I desire nothing more than to use it to honor, serve, and glorify Him.
It is not so much the finished products that I love, but it is the process of creating that I love more. Creating one piece of art is like a small metaphor for the way I see life- each experience we have is a part of the journey. It's the journeying, and the doing that make like so terribly and wonderfully beautiful.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart for the Lord, and not for the world."
-Colossians. 3:23
